Here are five fun reuses for your watch.

1. Move it from your wrist to your wall. Who says you need an enormous wall mounted clock in your petite pad? Create the illusion of more space by putting up small wall décor. Start with hanging band-less watches in strategic places around the house.

2. Give your necklace a tick. If Flavor Flav can wear a watch around his neck, so can you. Remove the band from an old watch and loop it to a simple chain. This accessory may not be as pronounced as Flav's, but your friends will still know what time it is.

3. Repair and re-wear. Old watches are only one stop at a repair shop away from being new watches. Change the bands and batteries to keep time without investing in a brand new time piece.

4. Make your band a bracelet. Perhaps your old ticker wasn't set for success, but that band made being late fashionable. With a few creative ideas and a tool kit, you can get rid of the clock and keep the band as a bracelet.

5. Teach kids about time. Just because your old watch won't keep time, it doesn't mean it can't teach time. Remove the battery and set your watch for a specific time. Attach an activity note to let your children know that dinner is at 6:00 p.m. or that soccer practice is at 4:30 p.m.
