Carrick McCullough in the family's veggie powered Beetle

One family is putting the pedal to the metal when it comes to educating people about renewable energy. Called Our Renewable Nation, the project put Colin McCullough, his wife and their two boys in a veggie powered Beetle, and they traveled cross country visiting renewable energy sites and sustainable companies to create a series of eco-videos for kids.
The videos feature 9-year-old Carrick as the interviewer of sustainable businesses. One video highlights the eco-friendly stainless steel water bottle company Klean Kanteen:
Another shows off wind energy:
The videos are great, and the goal even better.
Carrick and his family are Change Agents working hard to bring the next generation of people up with a strong understanding of what living sustainably is all about. The family hopes to distribute the videos to schools to help empower the youth to create a sustainable and renewable future.
Having Carrick narrate and interview the guests in the videos is a brilliant way to engage kids in the message the videos are sending. In the past, Carrick's created an award winning film seen by more than 200,000 viewers.
Follow along with Our Renewable Nation and watch more videos as they're posted at the Our Renewable Nation Change Agent page.
