Sea glass is one of the best examples of that old saying, one man
But it turns out that these pieces are fairly easy to make on your own
This DIY Network tutorial breaks down the process of turning a piece of beach glass into a one-of-a-kind necklace; all you need is a piece of glass, metal wire, cord, and jewelry pliers. Wrap the wire around the glass and finish with a loop at the top; then run the cord through and it's ready to wear. If you have your own broken glass that you want to smooth to look like sea glass, try sandpaper or a knife sharpening stone—but remember to wear work gloves and protective eyewear (better yet: see if your local glass cutter can do it for you).
