Straw Glider
The Straw Glider is a kids' craft that can fly indoors or outdoors. This indoor craft is easy to make and much more fun than a simple paper airplane.
What You'll Need:
- 3 plastic drinking straws
- Masking tape
- Pencil
- Craft foam or clean foam food trays (from fruits or vegetables only)
- Blunt scissors
- Permanent markers
- Glue
How to make Straw Glider:
Step 1: Tape three straws together at four points.
Step 2: Draw the wing and two tail sections on a piece of craft foam or foam food trays. Cut out the pieces and decorate them with markers.
Step 3: Draw a design of your own airline company. Insert the foam pieces in between the three straws. Add a dab of glue to hold them in place. Let the glue set.
Step 4: Hold the glider in one hand, then throw it in the air and watch it fly.
In the next indoor craft, decorate tiles to give as gifts.
