The Spring 2009 Chanel collection show had a specific look adorned by most models, and I liked it. The look was really simple: layered panty hose. It's a look that embraces both the footless leggings and knee-highs trends simultaneously. And it doesn't need to be bought. Why pay top-dollar for this Chanel look if you can make it yourself? With as frequently as we ladies have to dispose of panty hose, achieving this look the DIY way is a perfect excuse to do the green thing and reuse those hose with rips and tears. (And, if you're anything like me, that's every pair of panty hose you have that you've worn more than three times).
Find spare panty hose.
I was lucky enough to find two pairs—both black sheer—that had rips. One pair had rips at the foot and the other pair had rips at the thigh. It was perfect for this project.
Cut panty hose.
Cut one pair of hose off at the top—near the thigh.
Put on both pairs of panty hose.
Put your other pair of hose on and then put this cut up pair on. Pull the cut up pair up your thigh so that the cut panty hose extend from thigh to knee.
