My face is often lousy with razor burn. My neck gets all red, and I look like a rooster. A lot of guys face this face-based problem. Women have to deal with razor burns on their legs and armpits. Babies don't shave, but I'm pretty sure they get tore-up when they see their parents with razor burns. Nobody likes razor burn.

Many of us have changed the way we shave in order to be greener. Whether we shave with a straight razor, use an electric razor, clean your disposables or just grow bushy beards, we've adopted some solution. However, the gunk you may use on your razor burn may not be that great for the environment or it might packaged poorly. Why not try some all-natural options?

1. Aloe Vera is all natural and you can find it in eco-friendly packaging (such as an actual plant).

2. Wash your face, legs or pits with warm water before shaving.

3. Shave with the grain. Shave in the direction that your hair grows. (downward)

4. Apply less pressure with the razor.

5. An oatmeal bath is a great way to reduce on razor burn.

6. Shave less. Razor burn is basically skin irritation. The less you shave the less it will be irritated. This is also a good idea in terms of conserving water and supplies.

7. Keep your razor sharp and clean.

8. Try tea tree oil.
