Paper Weaving Craft
Try the paper weaving craft to create beautiful, colorful wall-hangings or decorations. Choose colorful patters and add a bit of patience, and soon you'll weave a craft worthy of a frame.
What You'll Need:
- Assorted colors of construction paper
- Blunt scissors
- Ruler
- Craft glue (optional)
How to Make a Paper Weaving Craft:Step 1: Cut out several 1-inch strips from different-colored sheets of construction paper, lengthwise. Fold another piece of construction paper in half.
Step 2: Starting at the fold, cut straight, zigzag, or curvy lines about 1 inch apart to 1 inch from the edge of the paper.
Step 3: Open the paper, and weave each paper strip over and under each cut. Alternate colors of strips as you weave.
Step 4: Continue weaving until the paper is full. Trim the strips.
If you want, glue your paper weaving on a larger piece of paper and hang it on the wall.
