If the thought of wearing old and baggy t-shirts as the weather warms up makes you sweat and cringe a little; you're not the only one. Ladies everywhere start shedding layers during the spring and summer and for a lot of ladies, this means buying a new wardrobe. But buying new slinky summer shirts every time it starts getting warm is not only not-green, but it wastes money. Why not just put those old t-shirts to work? With a simple pair of scissors, I'll lead you through a DIY t-shirt of the week every Thursdays. Today's shirt is sleeveless, ties up the back, and is perfect for showing off your back, but not revealing too much in the front.
Choose a T-shirt for the Project
Find your shirt. Cut off the sleeves. Cut a 'V' neck through both the front and back layer.
Cut T-shirt
Cut all the way down the back of the shirt.
Finish and Enjoy
Once your long vertical line down the back is cut, cut both the left and right sides of fabric horizontally so that you have two horizontal cuts on each side, yielding three chunks of fabric on each side. Put the shirt on and tie all of these.
Enjoy!
This cut has been a favorite of mine for years now and it's one my friends always ask me to teach them. It takes only 5-10 minutes but will last you through your sun-filled months.
