This DIY T-shirt is easy to make. And cute.
Who wouldn't rather make a sexy spring and summer ready shirt out of an old shirt than buy a new one? With materialistic fashionistas excluded, saving money and materials is a generally popular concept—regardless of one's green allegiances—or lack thereof. So for my DIY t-shirt this week, I turned an old (yet awesome) too big t-shirt into a cute little thang—and, like all of these DIY t-shirts; I did it just with a pair of scissors. If you want to get this crossed back look yourself, you'll probably be shocked at how simple it is to make.
How to turn your t-shirt into a crossed back shirt:
Find T-shirt
Locate your shirt and cut off the sleeves.
Cut V Shape
Cut the back into a V shape and then cut vertically up the 'strap' section. Just like the picture.
Cut Line Across
Cut Line Across
Cut Holes on Sides Cut two small holes on either side of the shirt just below the arm holes. Cross Straps and Tie Cross the straps and tie each end into the hole diagonal from it. Cross Straps and Finish Have fun wearing this number. Try not to mind the cat calls you'll get—it comes with the territory of wearing something this cute.
