This '80's style is easy to achieve with just some scissors.
My roommate likes the 1980's. A lot. She likes giant hoop earrings, leg warmers, hot pink lipstick, and ragged FlashDance-esque t-shirts. I dedicate this t-shirt project to her and all ladies with the same fashion style as her. The slitted back t-shirt is a perfect way to stay cool in summer while retaining your fun-loving fashion sensibility. And it's really easy to make.
How to give your t-shirt a hip slitted back:
1. Locate your shirt and use scissors to cut a scoop neckline.
2. Turn your shirt around and pinch a piece of fabric near the neck of the shirt and cut a slit.
Extend this slit far left and right so that it reaches nearly across the entire back of the shirt.
3. Make these slits all of the way down the back of the shirt, or for as far down as your comfortable, and enjoy!
This DIY t-shirt is a great way to make use of a shirt you might have otherwise not worn this summer all while reducing your consumption.
