Plastic milk jugs and caps can be used to make a variety of different items, from a cute woodland log play set to a handy waterproof-bottomed satchel.

1. Log Home Playset Use a milk jug as a base to make this adorable log home, perfect for fairies and tiny woodland creatures. If you don't crochet, you could make the bark with craft felt.

2. Satchel The bottom of a milk jug makes the perfect waterproof bottom for a homemade satchel. What a great way to store tiny toys or transport wet bathing suits in the summer.

3. Tomato Planter Upside down planters are all the rage. Make your own by simply cutting off the bottom of a milk jug and suspending it upside down.

4. Paper Mache Mask A milk jug is the perfect size and shape to make the base of a great paper mache mask. Use it as a disguise, or for a fun decoration.

5. Atomic Starburst Clock You've used all your spare jugs, now what to do with the caps? Pair them with some drinking straws and make a bright retro atomic starburst clock, of course!
