Attic Window Quilt Block
The Attic Window quilt block melds geometry with emotions, angles with curves. Part of the Country Cupboard quilt design, the block has a pattern of triangles surrounding a heart that makes a delightful combination. Download the Attic Window quilt block as a PDF to print out the pattern. Don't forget to enlarge the quilt block at 125%.
To make the Attic Window quilt block:
A: Cut 6, and cut 6 from contrasting fabric. B: Cut 3. Heart: Fuse double-sided webbing to fabric, and cut 1 (do not add seam allowance).
Sew A to contrast A; make 6. Stitch AA to AA, matching unlike fabrics, then stitch on B. Make 2. Stitch AA to B, with contrast triangle at bottom, then stitch on AA, with contrast triangle at top. Stitch rows together, with the bottom row sewn on starting with B square. Fuse heart to center square. By hand or machine, appliqué heart using narrow blanket stitch.
