Save a broken clock from being trashed: turn it into art.
A lot of clocks have a long lifespan. The kitchen clock my family had growing up is still working to this day. But every clock has its day to die and when yours finally goes, you can save it from the trash by turning it into wall art. I had a clock lying around that I spent ages trying to fix before I accepted the fact that it was not fixable and/or not worth spending any more time and money on. Instead of trashing this clock, I turned it into modern wall art for my apartment with just a few things I already had around the house.
