How To Clean Your Grill With Olive Oil

It's grilling season, so clean your grill the green way.

Barbeque parties are, hands down, my favorite summertime activity. Nothing makes me happier than cooking my food outdoors with good friends in the sunshine. Well...nothing food-related makes me happier. I BBQ every chance I get during the summer. After each party, I have to clean my grill. The next time you have to use your grill, don't waste money or our resources on a bottle of chemical-laden grill cleaner. All that you need for cleaning your grill is olive oil.

How to clean your grill with olive oil:

Prepare your dirty grill.

You can do this by scraping the excess junk off of the grill with a cloth.

Scrub with olive oil.

Dampen a cloth or BBQ brush with olive oil and gently scrub the grill with a scouring material. The olive oil will remove the grimy, nasty stuff without a problem.

Rinse the grill.

Rinse the grill off with water and empty your grill below the tray.

Enjoy your clean grill! Enjoy! There's no reason why we can't all go green when cleaning our grills.
