Sick of the same old paintings and décor lining your home's walls? Well, if you're looking to change up the aesthetic, why not redecorate with some art that's both inspires a need to green and was inspired by green.
Take, for example, the lovely Sun Series by Valerie Lynch. The paintings aim to increase awareness of solar power and renewable energies. Depictions of the sun, along with the artist's collaboration with her husband, a photovoltaic systems expert, help drive the project to promote one of the most important alternative energy sources?solar power.
Or, for something even more proactive, look into this "eco-fying" art that's sold online to benefit environmental causes. Artist McKenzie sells her paintings at the eco-fy art store, and gives 100 percent of the proceeds to charities like the Humane Society.
