DIY Halloween Crafts from Maura Madden's Crafternoon

It may be only three days until Halloween, but it's not too late to get into the spooky spirit with seasonal projects courtesy of Maura Madden, whose guide to a year of crafting sessions, Crafternoon, offers these easy ideas for Halloween:

Make your own costume at Madden's open-to-the-public Crafternoon in NYC, guests were putting the finishing touches on classic looks like Wonder Woman alongside more modern disguises; one creative type planned to turn herself into Google Maps by attaching fold-out maps to a skirt and top.

Go old school. Orange, white, and black construction paper, stickers shaped like ghosts and witches, and a handful of markers make it easy to wish friends near and far a happy Halloween with personalized cards.

Borrow from other cultures. Mold non-toxic clay into small skeleton skulls to honor Day of the Dead celebrations, and then decorate with paint, markers, or paper.
