Let's start with a 10-second grace period to clear all those thoughts from your mind. Okay?feel better? A Naked Lady Party is a cool new name for a cool old idea: clothing swaps. The good folks at Tiny Choices call it "an amazing way of sprucing up your wardrobe without spending a cent or making a dent on the environment? and, men are, of course, invited too!"
The rules are simple:
- Invite some friends, and invite their friends too (the more attendees the better the clothing selection!)
- Serve simple snacks and drinks to keep people happy and energized
- Everyone brings clothing they?re not in love with anymore, and they can also bring housewares, books, accessories as well. There?s no minimum amount needed to attend a swap.
"You feel calm" at Naked Lady Parties, they tell us at GetCrafty.com. "You're getting rid of all those shirts that are too tight and pants that are too baggy. No worries, you think. Someone else will enjoy them more." But, like hip-hop music and NBA basketball you do have to choose which style you prefer.

East Coast Style
Everything gets dumped into one big pile, and an emcee runs the show—they hold up each piece of clothing, tell the size, material, era, etc, and hand it over to the interested party. If more than one person wants it, they decide amongst themselves, perhaps by trying it on and seeing if it fits right.
West Coast Style
Everything gets dumped into a big pile, and everyone is let loose to dig through it on their own. This style works surprisingly well, but there is less chance for biting commentary on the patchwork bandana vest you brought (but won't admit to being yours).
