This one takes green music to the next level, as in growing your own speakers.

Like a plant. You could name yours Robert, if you like Led Zeppelin. Or Blackie, if you like Black Mountain. The ideas are infinite.

The grow-your-own speaker looks iPod-inspired. Designer Jocko Chan calls it the Forsta.

"How does it work?"

As white space writes "A stalk of bamboo is placed in a funnel which sits on an eco ceramic base possessing power and volume controls. Pour water into the funnel to nourish the bamboo and as it grows so does your sound system, allowing the audio to be piped up into the room through the stalk."

Bamboo, don't forget, is a renewable resource. It absorbs carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, and grows like crazy.
