Jalapeno Bug Spray You Make Yourself--Kills Bugs, Not Planet

OK. Maybe killing bugs, in general, isn't the greenest thing ever. Nonetheless, there are times when bug sprays make sense. For instance, unless you want to come out of your next camping trip completely ridden with mosquito bug bites, you're going to need some sort of bug spray. In addition to that, some bugs are just too hard to remove from your home. Fruit flies, for instance, are especially difficult. Your intentions may very well be good, but getting rid of these bugs without killing them is almost impossible.

The real concern for most people is the type of bug sprays they're using. Certainly something that is powerful enough to kill life that is in its way shouldn't be sprayed all over your kitchen counters...or anywhere else in your home. However, most people do spray these sorts of chemicals without thinking twice.

I, for one, don't really want to have these kinds of chemicals all over my house. Because of this, I did some research on making homemade bug sprays. It turns out that you can make a totally efficient bug spray yourself...without any chemicals!

All you need are chili peppers-jalapenos work perfectly. If you throw these in a blender or food processor with some water, the mixture kills bugs in its way. Granted, you don't necessarily want this kind of formula all over your own skin (especially not your eyes) or your kitchen counters. However, it's not filled with chemicals and won't have nearly as toxic of an affect if digested as your typical bug spray has.

So the next time you are out of bug spray, make some of this stuff and put it in a spray bottle! You'll save money and you'll decrease the number of chemicals floating around your home.
