Although it may seem intimidating, you can re-upholster almost any run-down old chair and make it look new again. Whether you use new material or fabric scraps, you'll be amazed at the results. Here are five before-and-after examples to inspire you to give it a try.
1. Luxe Patchwork Chair This slipper chair is glorious with its new patchwork fabric slipcover. Mismatched buttons add to the whimsy and fun.
2. A Cinderella Story This once forlorn chair was found abandoned on the curb. You won't believe its transformation. All it took was some fabric and a little paint to achieve this beautiful result.
3. Floral Office Chair Here's another once discarded chair that was rescued and rejuvenated. If you are lucky enough to find a free chair, what have you got to lose?
4. Patchwork and Prints This chair was given a new patchwork cover composed of new and thrifted fabrics, and screenprinted designs. Now it's a great place to curl up and read!
5. First Attempts Here's further proof that you can do it! This "first attempt" at re-upholstery yielded fantastic results.
