Whether you are passionate about stopping deforestation of the rainforest or just looking for a way to kill time, helping the mischievous monkeys in Tropicana's Rainforest Rescue game is a great way to spend an afternoon. The game, part of Tropicana's Rescue the Rainforest campaign, is intended to increase awareness of problem of deforestation. Paired with the Rainforest Activity Pack, the game is intended for younger activists, but that doesn't mean kids of all ages can't have a good time.
The campaign, launched in partnership with Cool Earth, allows customers to redeem specially marked containers of juice to save portions of the rainforest. In addition, Cool Earth is asking for donations. A contribution of $50 can protect half an acre, saving more than 130 tons of carbon, 20 mature trees, and 22 endangered animal species. How much does the game contribute to this cause? That is debatable but it is a fun diversion nevertheless.
