Organize a Trash Pick-Up Party
Is there an area in your city that is littered with trash? From bus and train windows, I catch glimpses of a median that has trash all over it. I always think to myself, "It would be so easy for a group of people to pitch in and clean up. It would take no time at all." Chances are, everyone knows an area like that. Even in the cleanest, nicest neighborhooda, areas littered with garbage will never be too far away.
Picking up trash is something that is usually delegated to prisoners or other various ne'er-do-wells. However, there is no societal stigma to helping out the planet. In fact, a lot of venerated people and organizations adopt highways.
But there is no median adoption program. If a median is dirty it is left untidied. You can do something about it. You can throw a Trash Pick-Up Party.
How to Throw a Trash Pick-Up Party
1.First, canvass for an area that needs help. Plan a date and time.
2.Send out emails to your friends, interested parties.
3. Round up necessary equipment like bags for the garbage, those jabby garbage sticks.
4.Organize a carpool.
5. Designate tasks.
6. Make plans for everyone to regroup after the job is done and reconvene at a fun place, like a restaurant or pub.
