I find nothing relaxing about heading out to the movie theater on the weekends only to spend $10 on my ticket alone and then an additional $10 for a liter size watered down drink and a fatty tub of butter popcorn. With the economy in a slump and the need to start saving money a necessity, we have made movie night at the house a regular event. This way I can pick the movie, invite whoever I choose, and serve my favorite green snacks. Why not skip the theater and throw a green movie night at your house?

- Show an awesome environmental movie like my favorite, the Planet Earth series. If you've never seen the Planet Earth series you'll find that it's far from a boring environmental documentary. The scenes are so stunning that your guests can see first hand the nature that is found far beyond their reach. Explore the world's few remaining untouched civilizations and find out why saving them is so important.

- Serve green snacks. Make your own organic popcorn or serve homemade hummus and local veggies. Skip the processed foods and go far heartier and healthier treats. For the adults, sip on all organic and biodynamic wines.
