Electronics are simply not the easiest things to get rid of. The hugest
problem with this is the fact that we are totally oversaturated with
electronics as a culture right now. There are certainly ways to recycle
your electronics that are not terrible for the environment. Giving your
electronics away is always a great way to dispose of them while doing some
good. But what do you do when they break? Well, there are specific
recycling centers and routines, but you can also opt to be a little creative
with your old electronics. Here are just a few ideas, I?m sure they?ll
inspire you to think of many more:
- Mosaic.
If you?re into the art of mosaic at all, then you?re in luck when it comes to disposing of your electronics. Broken CDs and DVDs make for awesome mosaic chunks. But, you can also break down any old item with a hammer and see what kind of neat pieces you end up with for a project.
- Bookends.[/b]
Why not be creative when it comes to your
bookends? Use your heavy electronics that no longer work to keep
your books in order on a shelf.
- Planters.
You can grow beautiful things in an array of
items. This can include broken TV sets, blenders you no longer use,
etc.
The idea is just to be creative. You
don?t necessarily have to worry about where to drop off your electronics for
recycling if you can find neat ways to use them around the house.
