In a great example of creating functional items from found objects, Syracuse University students Jeffrey Gerlach and Andrew Stanley came up with a great way to transform road barriers into chairs. The duo simply rearranged nails and wooden pieces to create Adirondack-style chairs.
The next time you take a look at a battered barricade, wooden pallet, sawhorse or other small structure past its prime, consider the potential it holds for being transformed into a cool, conversation-starting piece of furniture. With very little effort on your end, you could be the proud owner of some clever upcycled furnature!
