If you think wreaths are just for the holidays, think again: the right colors, textures, and patterns can make them a welcome addition to any decor at any time of the year. We especially like this one made from cardboard coffee sleeves at Magpie and Cake for an earthy, neutral addition to any room.
One note: we're not encouraging you to pick up the cardboard coffee holders at your local latte shop; bringing your own mug is the greener option by far. But if you collect spares from family and friends or hold onto the ones that you use on days when you forget your mug, then this is one way to reuse them rather than fill up your trashbin. Use a larger piece of cardboard
If you prefer a brighter finished product, try covering your cardboard with scraps of paper from magazines or opened gifts, or use a thicker cardboard and let your kids add their own personal sketches. You could also swap out the leaf shapes for circles, flowers, or any other nature-inspired design; the end result will be a unique decoration that you can use year-round.
