You might save bows or ribbon for reuse, but saving wrapping paper is a different story

Bigger pieces work perfectly for book covers, notebook makeovers, and decoupaged onto gift or storage boxes, while perfectly smooth leftovers can give lampshades a colorful makeover. Smaller scraps are just right for brightening up matchbooks, adding some pattern to a plain ruler, or updating a boring picture frame. Use your favorite wrapping paper pattern as a mat behind your framed holiday photos, or cover a canvas for year-round decorating. Especially tiny pieces can wind up as gift tags, and super-crafty types can turn oddly-shaped paper into homemade bows.

The possibilities are endless
