If you have a food garden and want to be part of a bigger community, One Million Gardens has the resource for you. It's a social network that hopes to put one million food gardens on the map by the end of the year. With summer creeping up, time is growing short on creating a garden, but it certainly isn't too late!
One Million Gardens offers user-generated content, including blog posts and videos with gardening advice. You can check out other people's gardens and see what they're growing, and post photos of your own prized produce.
Food gardens are getting more and more popular, thankfully. Even in small spaces where containers are the only option, people are getting back to their food growing roots as an alternative to unheathy supermarket foods. Even if you're only able to plant herbs or a few landscaping plants, if they're edible, they count!
There are 339 gardens listed so far on One Million Gardens, and might your very own veggie garden become the next?
