Rainwater is there for all of us. It
is free and incredibly useful for lots of things. However, many of us
never use it! Instead, we keep pumping out the water that costs us, in
several ways, rather than use rainwater. I think the root of the problem
is that a lot of people don?t stop to think about the ways in which they could
use rainwater. So the next time it?s about to rain, place some buckets
outside for the water and use it like this:
- Cleaning. - You don?t need to clean with tap water. From mopping your floors
to cleaning off your counters, rainwater can do the job.
- Plants - Whether you have plants indoors or a garden or farm outdoors,
rainwater will do the job at watering your greenery. Think about
it: plants were designed to live off of rain water in the first
place!
- Summer Fun - Why should you or the kids have to have water
balloons filled with tap water? Or water guns? Use rain water for
your recreational activities.
The point here is that rainwater is quite usable
for many different purposes. Increasing the amount of natural water you
use will help the planet, in general, so do it!
