Well it seems like everyone these days wants to be tan. And I'm pale. I've always been pale, sans the occasional summer glow. The sun is just so...damaging. Its rays are strong and can be cancer-causing. I'd prefer to fake tan myself any day over baking myself in the sun without protection. So I like to make my own self-tanner during the summer months. It's easy to do, safe, and saves me from buying a brand new chemical-filled product.
But during these spring months, when the sun picks and chooses its days to shine, finding a shade somewhere between sickly pale and summer-style tanned is on my mind, and luckily, it's easy to do. A homemade bronzer will give your cheeks, chest, and any other body part a sun-kissed look for spring without overdoing it.
How to make your own bronzer:
1. Find a container. Anything small will work.
2. Find a light eye shadow.
3. If the eyeshadow isn't already loose, crumble it into your container.
4. Mix in however much cocoa or cinnamon you see fit to match the bronzing color you'd like to achieve.
5. With a standard makeup blush/powder brush, apply the bronzer wherever you'd like it.
Following these steps will give you a cool bronzer and hey, it's the green thing to do. You won't be expending any more of our resources on a brand new bronzer this way (assuming you, like I, have some cocoa or cinnamon on hand).
