This DIY homemade hair remedy is great at softening kinky curls. It works wonders on Afro/bi-racial hair, but is suitable for any hair type. Of all the natural and effective recipes out there, this is one my favorites. The recipe's a bit more complicated than most, but it makes for a great styling gel/lotion that you can store in the fridge and use up to 5 days later. Go ahead-turn that bad hair day into a spectacular one!

Here are the ingredients you'll need:

3 oz dried Irish Moss

1/2 water (add more if you want)

2 teaspoons dried Chamomile herb

2 teaspoons dried Rose Petals & Buds

2 teaspoons Virgin Coconut Oil

Now follow these directions:

1. Bring water to a boil, and remove from heat.

2. Mix dried herbs and Irish Moss into water.

3. Cover and let mixture sit for 5 minutes.

4. Use a strainer to remove herbs from mixture.

5. Add coconut oil to mixture. If you like you can also add a couple drops of Vegetable Glycerin for added moisturizing benefits.

6. Stir until consistency is thick. If it's too thin, you can add some more dry Irish Moss.

7. Allow it to cool in the fridge before applying it to hair.
