Bear with me on this one, because I have some pretty unconventional tips from the model-actress world. Models have a tendency to overwork themselves, particularly during fashion season. It's hard for them to even catch a wink of sleep. Given the industry, however, they are never allowed to look tired. So a popular model trick to whisk away under-eye bags is to use Preparation H hemorrhoid cream.

Hemorrhoid creams perform well for this task because they specifically target inflammation of the skin-especially in sensitive areas. I don't suggest using Preparation H, given some of the not-so-nice ingredients in the formula, but I would suggest Théra Wise HmR ointment. Why does the hemorrhoid-cream-under-the-eye trick work? "It's the astringent properties that restrict the capillaries," explains Théra Wise R&D director Warren Brander. (The HmR ointment, by the way, is the brand's number one-selling product).

Alternatively, a number of aspiring actresses I've met use egg whites as a temporary wrinkle fighter and skin firmer before going to auditions. Here's what you do: Separate the egg white from the yolk. Lightly whip the egg white until it is foamy. Apply one or two thin layers underneath the eye. Let dry. Apply foundation or SPF cream as you normally would. The hydrolipids in the egg will revitalize your skin and temporarily tighten the pores around the eyes. The effect lasts for several hours.

For a more conventional wrinkle-fighting approach, try Annaé Geoceuticals Crystalline Masque; I'm a fan of their entire range. These products are specifically designed to keep the skin hydrated and wrinkle-free. Of course, the ultimate wrinkle-prevention strategy is protecting your face from the sun, so always apply eco-friendly sunscreen, too.
