The eyebrows are the frames to the windows of our souls, unless you have a uni-brow--then they are more like the awning to the windows of your soul. Men are allowed, unfairly, to have errant hairs poking from odd places, but groomed eyebrows, I'm told by my tweezer-wielding girlfriend; make a big difference in the way you look.
Some women like to have pencil-thin eyebrows, but truth be told, most guys don't really look or notice the thickness of a woman's brow. As long as they are not Harry and the Hendersons scary, they will go completely unnoticed like a mid-sized Toyota in heavy traffic.
How to Green Your Eyebrows
If you have naturally thin eyebrows that separate near the bridge of the nose, then you are one of the lucky ones. Some folks doctor their eyebrows with a brow crayon to look natural. But going out of your way to make your eyebrows look artificially natural is a waste of time, money and resources.
Depilatory creams are said to burn and leave a rash. It is also difficult to use these creams with precision. Most importantly, it's just another product in packaging that you can eliminate from your regime.
Bleach is an irritant, and I personally don't want it out there in nature. I don't know how many girls bleach their eyebrows, but even if you have blond hair, you can keep your dark brows. Many iconic sex symbols have rocked the blond hair and dark eyebrows.
Waxing is very wasteful. Come to think of it, the higher-end the salon/day spa you get your brows done at, the more wasteful it is. Upon researching this waxing craze, I have learned that it takes a lot of paper cloth to remove the hair. Brow waxing only uses a few strips, but many salons use disposable applicators to evenly spread the wax which is a big waste.
They do this for convenience and sanitation, but mainly for convenience. In higher end salons, a new batch of wax is heated for every customer. This is ridiculous. Unless you are getting a full body wax, you certainly won't be using the entire vat of wax. So to toss out endless supplies of wax, applicators, and paper strips is something that you should avoid if you can.
The Greenest Way to Groom Eyebrows?
Our best bets are also our fastest and cheapest of unwanted brow hair removal: Old-fashioned plucking with the tweezers and threading. Threading is fast, precise, and it lifts the follicle from the root. Plucking can be done while you sit in traffic but not while in motion please. It might be a little more painful. But no pain, no gain, you know?
