Assuming you are standing up, your feet are the meeting place betwixt the world and you. They spend their days supporting you and taking the brunt of your ambulation impact. Where would we be without feet? Somewhere closer, I?d suspect. To protect our feet we wear shoes. Our shoes are like armor and shock absorbers for our feet. They are an important item of clothing.

Shoes often tread upon muck and mire. They trample through goo and garbage. And when shoes enter your house covered in filth, they can really damage your indoor air quality. Many of us don't have porches on which we can leave our scum-covered shoes. Instead, we have to take our treads into our homes and clean them.

How to Clean Shoes Take an old brush and clean off any dirt and mud. To remove scuff marks dip a rag in vinegar. Run the vinegar-soaked rag against the scuff until the mark is gone. Lightly rinse the outside of the shoes. Set them in the sunlight to dry.

You can also wash them in the washing machine. Be sure to remove the laces. Cleaning your shoes is one of many ways that you can make your shoes last longer.
