If you take care of your skin throughout your life then you don't have to turn to less-than-natural means of turning back time later on. Botox and stuff like that scare the heck out of me. I'm certainly not belittling those that choose that route because who knows their motivations, but for me that's just an extra risk that I don't want to take. Who knows what side effects that Botox will produce in people twenty years down the line and going under the knife, that's just scary in itself.

Why not try a healthy green nightly ritual?

- Exfoliate nightly

Strawberries can exfoliate the skin as well as anything. Exfoliation is often done with items like loofahs and sponges or anything else that can remove dead skin cells from the outer layer of the epidermis. Try Josh Peterson's guide to exfoliation with strawberries.

- Cleanse your skin before bed

Make sure that you're actually cleaning your skin rather than just adding more chemicals with Planet Green's guide to natural skincare. The average person slathers, lathers, rubs, and sprays 10 different skin care products on his or her body every day—and since our skin acts more like a sponge than a barrier, we absorb the nearly 130 chemicals we are regularly exposed to. My rule of thumb, don't put anything on your skin that couldn't go in your mouth.

- Once a month apply a moisturizing facial mask

For an instant moisturizer, says Donna Maria Coles Johnson, owner of Make Your Own Cosmetics, in the January 2008 issue of Natural Health, scrape off the inner peel of a banana, apply it to your face, and then rinse off after 15 minutes. If you have more time, check out this recipe for a moisturizing winter face mask.
