This, Not That, Skincare: Dull, Dry, Irritated and Burned Skin
We've all heard the "this, not that" concept when it comes to what and what not to eat. But what about what your skin eats? Yes, like a sponge, what you slather onto your skin is sucked up through your pores, entering your bloodstream and finding its way into your cells. So what exactly is your skin eating anyway? While we may scour the nutrition facts of every morsel of food that we put into our mouths, when it comes to our favorite old skincare standbys, if you take a second to check out the ingredients you will likely find that you can't pronounce the majority of them. Yup- they're made up of a menagerie of chemicals. And while old habits may die hard, you're smarter than to continue to feed your face stuff that you would never even think to spoon onto your tongue (but really, it's just a different delivery system).
Face the facts: it's high time to change your beauty regimen. I know... it's scary. Yes, your face is the most visible part of your body and you're nervous to take risks, switching from your tried and true to something new that, sure, might not work as well. Which is why I did the testing for you and discovered this list of truly good for you skin care prodcuts that work. It's time to throw nostalgia to the wind and try out some products that are not only good for your skin, but the environment too.
Skim this list of This, Not That products and even kitchen remedies, then try out a few on your skin. I'll bet you'll be happy with your new greener skin care regimen.
