So you have rough skin. Sometimes it gets worse with the dry air or the heat. Sometimes it remains no matter what you treat it with. It can effect your entire body, but especially your fingers, elbows, and knees. Spending money on intense lotions is bad enough, but expending the resources involved in industries and products like these isn't any good for the environment, either.

The real key, in my opinion, is figuring out how to cure your dry skin with the things you've already got around the house.

If you're looking for a cheap and environmentally friendly way to deal with your annoyingly dry and rough skin, try rubbing some of these natural products on the dry spots:

Olive oil & Almond oil

These oils are great for seeping into your pores and softening the rough skin.

Egg Yolk & Lime juice

This mixture, when applies to dry and rough spots in the morning and at night, will do wonders for your skin.

Banana

Bananas are great for soothing dry skin. They'll help your skin retain moisture. Leaving some on your skin for 15 minutes should do the trick.

Honey & Milk

Honey and milk have long been sources for smooth skin. Rub a mixture of the two (it hardly matters how much of each is involved), all over your problem areas and leave them to soak for 10-15 minutes.

Improving your skin's quality doesn't have to toll the environment. Why buy a new product, full with disposable packaging, if you can just fix up your skin with stuff you've got at home? It doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?
