Joe has been married to Grace, the eldest Valastro sister, for almost 20 years and works as a baker in the mixing room. When he's not at the bakery, he works as a firefighter, often coming straight from 24-hour shifts at the fire station to start a shift at the bakery.
Joey is referred to as a "hothead" due to his quick temper, but he loves what he does and is great at it. He's not at the bakery to fool around and sometimes can be a little cranky when he's just trying to get his work done.
Grace and Joe are proud of their two kids Bartolina (12) and Robert (16). Robert has started working part-time at the bakery when he has free time away from school and wrestling practice.
