Michael Drachenberg was born in Montemorelos, Mexico; the youngest of three children. When the Drachenberg family moved to a small town in California, Michael and his sisters were encouraged to create and explore in their free time. He learned about tattoo culture through the adventures of his older sisters, and Kat gave him his first tattoo when he was in the seventh grade. He was 13 years old.
Michael loves the Southern US, and spent a year in Chattanooga, Tennessee working in construction before coming to help his sisters at High Voltage Tattoo in 2008. He now manages the merchandise department and spends his free time exploring artistic outlets like drawing and writing. The shop fuels his creative nature and he feels like he learns something new every day. His time at High Voltage has made him a more ambitious and respectful person, and he considers his co-workers to be family.
Michael one day hopes to have tattoos from all the artists he works with, and dreams of living out his days in Rosario, Argentina.
