Growing up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, Paulie didn't learn his craft through apprenticeships. The seedy Brooklyn basement parlors didn't work out that way for him, either, so he taught himself.

As a teenager, he started with a magic-marker and his friends and never stopped. When asked what his first tattoo was he answered, "It was a portrait of my girlfriend at the time! Stupid! I got that sh*t covered up with my SECOND tattoo!"

Paulie started tattooing a little over ten years ago. He became the go-to-artist for the real "Goodfellas" of Brooklyn. The toughest guys defined his style - black & grey - religion & violence - homage to the dead & warnings to the living.

Tattooing became his passport to travel the world; whether in South America, Canada or Italy - he traded his skill for inspiration. He arrived in LA on a one-way ticket, with the gut feeling that this was the place where he could "borrow and share, smash it up" and maybe even stay for a while.
