Alisha

Alisha is studying to be an interior designer, but when it comes to designing her own exterior, this 25-year-old mom doesn't know where to begin. As the youngest child with four older brothers, she grew up wanting to dress just like them. And now that she's married, she wears her husband's jeans and oversized t-shirts.

Stacy and Clinton want to get Alisha to see that the baggy shapeless men's clothing she wears doesn't disguise the parts of her she wants to hide-in fact, her style makes her look bigger. They need to show her how tailored and well-fitting women's clothes will do a whole lot more for her. Hairstylist Nick Arrojo tackles Alisha's long and lank hair to give her a style that will frame her face, while makeup artist Carmindy shows Alisha how to fill in her over-plucked eyebrows and wear just enough color to bring her face alive.

Alisha's Rules and Mannequins

Mannequin #1 (Casual Outfit):

Rules: Mix and match prints and textiles for fun, modern look. Create a longer look by getting skirts that hit at the hip. Flaired skirt will hide stomach and hips. Kitten-heeled shoes will elongate the look.

Mannequin #2 (Career Outfit):

• black kitten heel boots

Rules: Choose rich, saturated colors to highlight olive skin. Tops with high-waist tie will hide stomach and hips. For pants and/or jeans, try high rise or medium for a long, lean look. Use accessories to express individuality, such as an oversized tote.

Mannequin #3 (Evening or Dressy Day Outfit):

• gray lace top

• black leather skirt
• pumps

Rules: Combine knee-length skirt with fitted blazer to create flattering hour-glass shape. Stay away from clunky or thick-strapped shoes which truncate the look. Look for pumps with delicate straps and slight rounded toe for class and comfort.

Alisha's Hair and Makeup

Hair by Nick Arrojo

• KMS Daily Fix everyday shampoo and moisture conditioner
• KMS Hair Stay Texture Blast
• KMS Flat Out Shine Serum

Step 1 - Highlights were first applied with with Wella blondor lightening system 20 vol, and Goldwell highlift blonde 1/a blonding cream 40 vol, which were applied into every other foil.

Step 2 - The rest of the hair was then colored with Goldwell light golden brown 5/3 and processed for 20 minutes.

Step 3 - Color was rinsed and highlights were toned with a glaze, goldwell warm velvet late 9/7 for 10 minutes.

Step 4 - Hair was washed with KMS Daily Fix everyday shampoo and moisture conditioner.

Step 5 - Nick razor cut Alisha's hair into a shagdown bob with swinging bangs.

Step 6 - Before blowdrying, KMS Hair Play Texture Blast was sprayed for lift.

Step 7 - KMS Flat Out Shine Serum and Hair Stay Non Aerosol Spray was used for finish.

Step 1 - Apply Giorgio Armani Silk Foundation all over face.

Step 2 - Apply Mac Blot Powder in Medium all over face.

Step 3 - Fill in eyebrows with eyeshadow and brush.

Step 4 - Apply white shimmer shadow under eyebrow and on tear duct.

Step 5 - Apply Stila Jezebel shadow on the lid.

Step 6 - Apply Mac cream liner in black along the lashline on upper lashes, then smudge a bit halfway down the lower lashline.

Step 7 - Apply black mascara to top lashes only.

Step 8 - Apply Benefit Eyebrite under eyes to cover dark circles.

Step 9 - Powder.

Step 10 - Apply Mac Fleur Powder Blush to apples of the cheeks.

Step 11 - Apply Nars lip gloss in "Sweet Dreams".
