Irene

Irene is a beautiful, intelligent 25 year old with a great body, and, what she considers, great style. However her friends and family describe her style as provocative and inappropriate for her job as a realtor. Her work colleagues have called on Stacy and Clinton to persuade Irene to leave her halter-tops and bustier for the nightclub and to wear more appropriate clothes to the office.

They have to persuade her she can still look young and sexy without wearing everything low cut or ultra short. And Irene admits that in her whole life she's never had a hairstyle she really liked, despite going to a hairdresser whenever she feels depressed. Nick Arrojo must come up with a solution to Irene's search for the perfect cut.

Irene's Rules and Mannequins

Mannequin #1 (Casual Outfit):

Rules:

• One quality piece of outerwear, like a suede jacket, makes a great impression.
• Shorter jackets and pants with a slightly higher rise in the thigh will make the legs look longer, without putting an emphasis on wearing a high heel.
• Tan is the neutral color, as opposed to black.

Mannequin #2 (Sophisticated Look):

• ivory cotton trench coat
• green top with center slash
• tab-front navy pinstripe jean
• burgundy round-toe shoes
• burgundy bag

Rules:

• Find trench coats that are not too long, i.e. appropriate for her short height.
• Show only a touch of skin above the cleavage, not the whole cleavage.
• Pin stripe trousers give an authoritative look.
• Burgundy can be a neutral, and matched with one other color. Don't just use black as a neutral.

Mannequin #3 (Evening or Dressy Day):

• red leather jacket
• black collared knit shirt
• black skirt with fish tail pleat
• tweed/black heels

Rules:

• Skirts must hit slightly above the knee or to the knee, not as high as mid-thigh.
• The "fingertip rule" is NOT valid (that rule being: the skirt is long enough if it reaches the fingertips wihen the arms are straight).
• Use sophisticated color palettes - not just red and black, but also ivory.
• For a big chest: don't choose knit wear that is bulky or tightly ribbed. Those will make you look big.

Irene's Hair and Makeup

Hair by Nick Arrojo

Hair Products:

Hair Process:

1. Highlights were first applied using two different levels of Wella Blondor Bleach.

2. Focusing only on the front part of the head, Nick rinses and tones with Wella Color Touch 7/7 (Warm Velvet Blonde) to give a rich and golden tone to the highlight.

3. Shampoo with Color Vitality Shampoo and Conditioner by KMS.

4. Nick razor cut Irene's hair to remove bulk and weight throughout the back and create a classic graduated shape which will emphasize the newly highlighted front hair.

5. Nick left all length at the top to enhance the sleekness and sophistication of the cut.

6. Blowdry with KMS Light Relaxing Creme.

7. For a piecy look, use KMS Sticking Wax.

11. Powder cheeks with Mac Blot.

12. Apply Stila "Jezebel" eyeshadow as a blush to cheekbones and cheeks.

13. Powder the rest of the face avoiding the top of the cheekbones.
